China Glaze “Tree Hugger” w/ Essie “Shine of The Times”
I knew I needed to practice when I fell in love with Sugarmitten’s mani:
Stripes are difficult…So, this is practice.
I’m making my way through my OPI 2012 Holland Collection of polish.
OPI “I Don’t Give A Rotterdam”
(2012 Holland Collection)
Has gold glitter running all through it that showed up far clearer than I anticipated… Very pretty and it remained my base color for the foolishness that is “accepting Audrey’s challenge.”
I don’t even know why I respond to Audrey. lol. She obviously doesn’t even understand fear…. this time she did CHERRY BLOSSOMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (pic). Did them well!! And then had the audacity to expect me to try them?!?!?
FIRST OF ALL, I didn’t even want to do cherry blossoms. Once again: TOO DIFFICULT! I think they are so very pretty. But even when I lived in DC, I had to stay away from the Cherry Blossom Festival. Too many people and ENTIRELY TOO MUCH POLLEN…. And, now, as a nail art design: complicated…..
…but far be it for me to not even TRY…. so…..
(dark brown, white, light pink and dark pink acrylic paint design)
And in the future, I will be patently rejecting any “Audrey Challenges.”
I have been sooo scared to try a leopard design. It’s been on my list of manicures to do for a WHILE.
…then came Audrey . She inspired me. Her leopard design came out SOOOO nice (pic)…. I felt challenged after she seemed surprised that I was scared…. so I finally worked up some nerve and…..
My first leopard design.
China Glaze “Papaya Punch”
w/acrylic paint design
I love this orange. I’m already a huge fan of orange…. I heart this color so much. I had to “test out” the design first. lol. Still hesitant and SCARED!
After it came out okay… I tested out the rest of my nails.
I like it. I’ll try it again. Definitely.
Can’t resist a neutral. A lot of times, they are the perfect backdrop to a design. And this one doesn’t disappoint.
I chose a “pattern” but I’m thinking, this one would look great alone too!
OPI – “Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh”
(2012 Holland Collection)
Par for OPI, the formulation is sublime. Creamy and even application, with perfect opacity. *two thumbs up*
I wasn’t aware. Past tense.
Autism Awareness Day was April 2nd. I missed it, but I won’t let the entire month pass by without some focus.
After I pulled out what seemed like a zillion blue nail polishes in my stash, I started seeing several nail polish bloggers doing “blue”…. for Autism Awareness.
One of my most favorite people in the world has a son who’s autistic. I care.
___________
OPI “Ski Teal We Drop”
This polish is heavenly!
This is polish that reminds me why I LOVE OPI!!! It’s a Fall/Winter Collection color, but reminds me of a nautical color. Red and white stripes, perhaps a gold anchor or something. This would be great for WATER skiing, no ski slopes.
It’s so creamy and smooth, perfect opacity…. easy to apply.
