Lines Lines

So…..

Yesterday Obama was in town. Early Voting. Yayyyy! I was seriously considering early voting until I heard about all of the lines…. and realized that the lines may be non-existent on election day. I’m DEFINITELY voting either way! Regardless of lines.

Well, because Obama was here…. traffic! My first appointment for the evening had to reschedule. Result: DOWNTIME IN THE SALON SURROUNDED BY POLISH… WONDERFUL POLISH!!! Smile

I took the opportunity to pamper my own spoiled nails (that have been feeling neglected because they haven’t gotten as much attention these days).

In my OPI obsession, I just started pulling colors from the 2012 Germany Collection… but this one color from the Skyfall collection just had to be included.

Excitement about OPI’s new Bond Collection “Skyfall 007”!!

I finally picked up the collection over the weekend. The colors are definitely season appropriate.

I LOVE Bond movies. And really, I love the old black and white ones. Pierce Brosnan was a great Bond…. so this manicure will be my mini- ode to him. LOL. But my FAVORITE will always be Sean Connery.

OPI – “GoldenEye”

The glitter is so dense, it looks like textured gold foil on my nails. It’s a dark amber gold, so even though it’s blingy, it seems tamer. Like understated sophistication.

This will be perfect for Christmastime manicures. I can’t wait. Smile

This was a complete accident, albeit a pretty one.

I was testing out a nail decal method and folded the paper in half because I wanted to start over. But when I saw the effect on the paper, I immediately had to try it on my nail. So I smashed the paper onto my nail bed, and…..

…loved it! Now I wish I had done this with no-chip polish. Smile

It was simple too. Just messy, lol. Just like a water marble.

Breast Cancer Awareness month.

And so…….

This is a no-chip polish design, so hopefully that will curb my urge to change it up so promptly. I love pink.

I “designed” my left hand, and my super duper wonderful colleague nail technician/educator Lashawn created my right hand design. I am now in LOVE with foils like the ones on my ring finger (right hand). Guaranteed to “bling up” a manicure – INSTANTLY! It’s hard to resist the shiny stuff Smile . And she does a most incredible French manicure, as evidenced by my sassy pink pinky nail.

I hate the formulation of “White Out”. It’s horrible and it takes FOREVER to dry. “White on White” is SO much better. Can someone explain to me why the company messed up the one polish?? SMH.

And I got a little topcoat careless and streaked some of my precious dots on my pinky fingernail. GOTTA pay better attention. Smile
