it’s not Spring
It’s freezing outside, so I couldn’t bring myself to use a “Spring” color…instead, I moseyed on over to my China Glaze Metro Downtown collection.
I chose China Glaze “Westside Warrior”
I still wanted it to be “girly”, so I added a flower of Sinful Colors “Vacation Time”, with a dot of gold metallic acrylic paint.

In my blog browsing I have seen the most beautiful swatches of the tidal wave of glitter polishes available these days. BEAUTIFUL! And, I, like the rest of the nail polish masses, LOVE them. They lure you with their sparkle and dazzle. Whispering your name like an irresistible lover…
I am putting my foot down.
I don’t want to read any more blogs telling me the easy way to remove glitter polish is by soaking cotton pads, covering my beds with aluminum foil and…….. waiting. Yes, I have a problem with patience. LOL. I’m working on it. haha
Removing the Nicki Minaj collection glitter polish (OPI – “Metallic 4 Life”) was a small test of patience. I can’t even imagine how long it would have taken without my reliable Automatic Nail Polish Remover! Even with it’s superb and consistent results, it took too long for my taste.
SO…. even though the task is still much easier with my polish remover machine….. I’m back on my glitter hiatus.
But I will never forsake my beloved dots.

The Red Blues…
Hey everyone!
I’m Duana, first time blogger, long time subscriber. I was introduced to Cheryl and her blog through the wonderful world of Twitter and have since fell in love with her nail art! But, enough about me, let’s talk polish.
I find myself picky in most aspects of life, and my nail polish is no different. A few years back, I tried the perfect red at my local nail salon; it was in OPI’s Christmas collection and I have been searching for it ever since. None of the polishes I pick have ever come close, and it seems as if the perfect shade of red is about as elusive as a unicorn…hence, my red blues.
One day, as I was walking through my local Target, I stopped in the nail care section (as I often do) and found “Forever Yummy” by Essie. It was beautiful in the bottle, but made a bunch of promises that it didn’t keep. I needed it to be a little brighter, like a true red/scarlet and not crimson. It looks nice on my hands, but the red is a little too deep for me. Check it out…

I am not necessarily a fan of Audrey Hepburn either. I just have different honorees. I haven’t even seen “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” but after my manicure, I DID add it to my newly acquired Netflix Instant Queue. (shoutout to the sweetheart KK…. and my should-be boo, Oh.

Yes, this stuff works! With all the drying acetone and alcohol swipes I use, my poor hands take a beating. My hands feel sooooooooooooo nice after using this! Moisturized without feeling greasy; And my skin feels protected! YES, you should try it.
Soft, young looking hands are a good thing.

French derivation. meaning shaded. It is used in relation to textiles (a) as an adjective to describe fabrics with a dyed, printed, or woven design in which the colour is graduated from light to dark;

Do you realize how difficult it is to find five shades of the same color family that GRADUALLY move from light to dark??!?!?! Try it. -_- Still easier than creating the shades myself though.

I love this combination. It is such a light and nude display… but so whimsical and intriguing. One of those manicures that doesn’t call attention to itself, but when you catch a glimpse, you’re taken.
Love Letters is polish that is the equivalent of a whisper. So soft.
Pictures can’t do the holographic flakies in Shine of the Times justice.
So if you’re not into bright colors or wild and crazy nail art…. this one is for you. Finished and fancy.

I think I have finally organized my “workspace” for my polish. 
Here’s where I sit to unwind and paint.
I purchased a nail polish rack from the beauty supply store for my desk – I think it was $23 (maybe $28?? don’t remember)… should hold 60 bottles but because OPI polishes are “fat” only 11 fit on each level, but 12 Sinful Colors fit on each, so I managed to fit 59 bottles on this rack.

Last night someone asked me how many polishes I owned. I didn’t really know…. so at the time I said maybe about 100. So today I counted…. the ones that were out…. and not including the nail art polishes…. nor including basecoats and top coats:
165.
That sounds like too many…. but it doesn’t even seem like that much when I’m sitting in front of them. It does, however, explain why I don’t mind doing my nails basically every day though. lol.
Here’s where I keep the other bottles and more nail art supplies. I have to keep everything in view and easily accessible.
I found the cutest expandable rack… probably created for spices or something, at Target, for about $15.

It’s a nice rack too. It has non-slip gripping pads so keeps the polish stable. I can fit 2 rows of polish on each level, so it holds a good amount of polish. Keeps them neatly organized and accessible.
So that’s how and where I keep my polish.
Good Night, Sleep Tight
What I want more than anything right now is just a REALLY good restful night of sleep. The resting part of the evening has been evasive this week. 
I’m tired. Not all that sleepy, but my body (and mind) want rest!
Sinful Colors:
“Black on Black”,“Midnight Blue”, “Out of This World”, “Pull Over”
The base color is black, then I sponged on the midnight blue from the middle to the tip of the nail, and then sponged the silver on the tips…. After that, I added the crescent moons, stars and a couple of “zzz’s”…
that one star looks like a snowflake… and well, it IS snowing outside again, lol. So, it’s alllll good. 
Now it’s time for me to go to bed!
