First off….. Nails gone. Lol

I love when my nails get to start over. I’m always the most productive then.

I like when they grow out as well…. But one of my nails felt like it was about to break, and I wasn’t about to sit and babysit any nails…. Plus I kept accidentally scratching myself. So I cut them off.

Then finally repolished.

I created a decal for my ring finger design with a stamp design and added color. Primary colors. Applied over a base of a white no-chip polish.

Fun stuff…. Will definitely do this again. 😁😁😁

I was inspired by this very sheer and lightly tinted “correcting” polish from Zoya.
It looks soooo pretty and finished on people’s nails. Non-intrusive and apparently wears extremely well and nourishes the nail.

But since I’m fully committed to being ’bout this no-chip life…

Lol.

The Dentist

I can say with fervor and honest conviction that I HATE THE DENTIST.

As I’m writing this my whole face is throbbing in pain and all I can take right now is ibuprofen every six hours…. And it’s not helping.

I’m not sure why I, at all, thought it was a good idea to have a root canal procedure done just before a holiday… But I was just trying to get it done. Well, it backfired.

I’m stuck here in pain with only brief moments of mental clarity because tooth pain will wipe out consciousness, I swear. Tons of tears. And just as much anger.

And yes this is a nail blog.

At one of my dentists’ offices where I am being highway robbed, I’m certain…one of the dental assistants had the cutest nails ever. So I told her I was copying. 😁 I caught a glimpse of them while she was operating the 3D x-ray imaging machine that after I pay for, probably, will prevent me from buying groceries or gas for my car for the next 6 months. (More time to paint my nails, I suppose.)

Initially I was planning to do the color “peach” in place of “pink”. But I ended up completely copying her style. Lol.

Thank you, Trish, for the inspiration. I am certain I’ll be seeing you again sooner that I even want.

Started over. So I guess I am growing my nails out again.

Can’t seem to knock my no-chip use. 🙂 It just lasts longer. Wanted a pink. This one is slightly neon.

Inspiration is so interesting.
I have had this photo album for over a decade and a half, I’m sure.

…front facing photo is older than that. SMH (OMG I AM OLD – the horror!!)

I see it every time I am in my living room.
…..and all of a sudden, I wanted something similar on my nails.

Base of a white no-chip polish. I used a variety of “regular” OPI and butter London polishes for the colored “bricks”.

I hope that this lasts on my nails for a couple of weeks – I really like all the colors.

I remember first learning about “calico” from my grandparents’ cat.

Oddly, I liked that cat….. but I no longer possess that sentiment about animals.

I don’t hate them, I guess…. but I don’t want them around me. I don’t like animal hair… or dander. I’m allergic.

I’m more a puppy person…. but dogs stink too. hahaha

….That’s some no-chip polish design action going on…. 🙂

I cut my nails off.

And while I have been enjoying the level of productivity that occurs each time I “start over” on my nail growth, I haven’t decided on any nail art that I even want on my nails right now. It feels almost weird.

I have been seeing a lot of nude colored nails recently. And I’m loving the clean, non-contrasting look of them all.

I started with a little pink… gelish – “Pink Smoothie”

Then Autumn came:
